This project has been 4 years in the making! When we first bought our house we knew we had to do something with the massive slab of concrete that was our back porch. I’ve had a vision in my head for 4 years of what I wanted and this year it finally came to life!

While it may have been a vision in my head, I can’t take all of the credit. Adam and my Daddy spent many hours bringing my vision to life and it’s what I wanted and so much more. While this is only Phase 1 (we will be adding a railing to complete the look and for overall safety) I couldn’t be happier with the outcome – this porch finally has purpose and looks 10x better!

Since we are eating home even more than normal, we have spent many nights out there eating dinner at our new table, we’ve had our neighbors and family over to celebrate (while practicing social distancing, of course), and I find myself sitting out there just to enjoy being outside and feeling the breeze come through.

Perhaps the most exciting “update” for the porch is that I can have flowers that don’t need full sun and FERNS, I can finally have ferns!  😍Big shout out to my best friend Mackenzie for hooking me up with all of these beauties that you’re about to see.
