Henry is without a doubt the most active newborn I have ever known. Even when I photographed his Fresh 48 in the hospital he was wide awake, wiggling around, and making the funniest faces. We had to try a little harder to get Henry to sleep for most of the afternoon, but once he was asleep we were able to capture some pretty precious moments.

I don’t know how, but Katie is without a doubt GLOWING! She looks amazing for being the mother of a newborn, and she made these photos look effortless; much like her maternity session even though she was so ready to pop! Katie and Bry’s home was the sweetest setting for this session – Henry’s nursery is a Pinterest dream. I always love capturing photos of the nursery before starting an at home newborn session for several reasons. The main reason being the parents have spent months planning and getting things just right and that deserves to be documented. Also, the baby’s room will not always look as it did when they were first born so it’s a good memory to have to look back on as the child grows and the room changes. I’m also just a sucker for home design and love all of the details.
