This rainy spring wedding at Rocky River Plantation will forever remain one of my all-time favorites. From start to finish, the day reminded me that the most beautiful weddings aren’t about perfect weather — they’re about incredible people, meaningful details, and a whole lot of love.

Thoughtful Wedding Details & an Incredible Vendor Team
First, I have to give so much credit to the amazing team of vendors who came together and made everything happen seamlessly. The team thoughtfully planned every detail and executed the vision beautifully. Colorful florals and soft linens filled the space with spring charm, while a live band kept the reception energy high all night long.
The bridal party carried clear umbrellas that felt both practical and adorable, and Lilly’s best friends surprised her with a live painter who captured the day in real time. Each element added intention and personality, creating a celebration that felt heartfelt from beginning to end.

A Romantic Rainy Ceremony
Tripp and Lilly exchanged vows on the front steps, standing close together beneath an umbrella as rain fell softly around them. The moment felt intimate, emotional, and absolutely breathtaking.
Later, they danced the night away beneath a tent tucked under the trees, surrounded by twinkle lights and the people who love them most. Before this wedding, I never imagined loving rain on a wedding day so much — but this celebration completely changed my perspective.
Right after the ceremony, the rain paused just long enough for us to step out for bride and groom portraits. Soft light filtered through the clouds while the open field created the dreamiest backdrop. Those few quiet moments felt nothing short of magical.

A Celebration Full of Love, Faith, and Joy
What truly made this weekend unforgettable was Tripp and Lilly themselves. They are two of the kindest, most thoughtful people you will ever meet. Their families and friends love them deeply, and that love showed in every interaction throughout the weekend.
After spending so much time celebrating alongside them, I honestly felt like family by the time I left.
Joy, love, and the Lord’s grace filled every moment of this wedding weekend. The day served as a beautiful reminder that when your foundation is strong, nothing — not even a storm — can take away from the love you share.
